Audi Q5 Hybrid quattro 2012

The 2012 Q5 Hybrid is Audi’s first production model to feature a hybrid powertrain: a 2.0-liter TFSI 4-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a 44-horsepower electric motor that is sandwiched between the engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. In tandem, they develop 241 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of peak torque for seriously sporty thrust.

Audi claims the 2012 Q5 is the “sportiest hybrid SUV around.” In the midsize segment, at least, we think the company could be right.

Model Lineup
The 2012 Q5 Hybrid is available in a single configuration, as a 5-door midsize SUV. It’s distinguished from its siblings by visual features such as “hybrid” lettering on the tailgate, fenders and aluminum sill panel strips; a gloss-black grille; and chrome exhaust tips. Polar Silver metallic is available as exclusive paint. The standard 19-inch cast aluminum wheels are specific to the model and are shaped to resemble turbine blades. Optional 19- and 20-inch wheel designs are available, as well as a more aggressive S-line bumper.
